How does an untidy office affect you mentally?

Maintaining a messy office can negatively affect your employees at work, plus your focus and ability to process information can be dramatically reduced. By attempting to work and get things done in an environment that is messy and full of clutter is almost impossible. Mess will take your focus away from the more important jobs and instead concentrate it towards the overfilled dusty shelves or the dirty floors and desks. Working in an untidy environment can increase your levels of stress and anxiety. This is very serious and should be acknowledged in the workplace, as for a lot of people, it is where they spend most of their week.

Clean office equals productivity

It has been proven that working in hygienic and uncluttered environments can actually improve your productivity and morale! Research by Initial Hygiene UK found that, "57% of employees feel more motivated and have greater morale when their workplace is clean, and provisions are made for proper hygiene solutions". This clearly identifies that having a regularly cleaned office will help maintain high morale amongst your employees also helping to increase their productivity.

Working in an disorganised environment will distract you from your important jobs and divert your attention towards the mess and state of the office. So, if you’re needing to get that report in for Monday then perhaps getting the office cleaned would be a good start?

Having a clean and tidy office helps you clear your mind and increase productivity; therefore, a good decision would be to hire a commercial office company, as they are experts in solving your office's cleaning problems.

Improve your health and wellness

Sometimes just a wipe down of the desks and a quick hoover doesn't get rid of all the dirt and bacteria in the office. There are places in your office that hold a huge amount of dirt and bacteria but are hard to get to. The average keyboard, chair and computer mouse harbour around 21,000 germs per square inch; your average desk is home to 10 million bacteria.

Germs and bacteria can cause viruses and illness in the workplace, risking the health of your employees which can also affect the company if a number of your staff are off sick.

Using a commercial cleaning service can make sure you reduce the number of germs, bacteria, clutter and mess to help you create a happier, healthier environment for you and your employees. Have you considered a deep clean service?

Getting a commercial cleaning company can ultimately lead to a more proactive workforce, less bacteria and mess and an improvement in time management. If these two factors are important to you and your business, then please call us on 01423 566785 for a free no obligation quotation.

It’s Clean Ltd, has joined the Carlisle-based Orian Solutions Group, marking a major step in its continued growth and diversification. It’s Clean has been operating across North and West Yorkshire for 26 years and has clients in a wide range of sectors including offices, schools, GPs, care homes, manufacturing, hospitality and events. Based in Carlisle, Orian Solutions is jointly owned by Westmorland & Furness Council and Cumberland Council and provides contract cleaning and food services, predominantly to clients in the public sector. Orian has recently secured major multi-year contracts in the police and fire sectors, while It’s Clean continues to grow through new partnerships in the charity and insurance sectors. David Whan, Managing Director of It’s Clean Ltd, said the move would bring together Orian’s strong governance, service quality, and commitment to social value and It’s Clean’s commercial experience, enhancing the Group’s ability to deliver flexible, high-quality facilities services across both public and private sectors across the North of England. He said: “Orian’s wealth of experience in the public sector and standards of governance mean It’s Clean can now compete in new sectors. “When I met their new CEO, John Donnison, it didn’t take long to see the fantastic synergies between our businesses, and we reached an agreement to join the Orian Group within days.” Mr Whan said the move to join forces would bring additional benefits to long-standing employees of It’s Clean who would now benefit from Orian’s Pluxee discount card giving discounts across a variety of retailers, services and everyday spending. The deal was completed on September 1, with Orian Group acquiring the shares in It’s Clean Ltd, bringing together two trusted northern service providers with shared values of quality, reliability and community focus. John Donnison, CEO of Orian Solutions, commented: “It’s Clean Ltd has a terrific heritage and brand in the Yorkshire commercial cleaning market and brings a new dynamic to the Orian Group. We’re only six weeks in and already seeing huge mutual benefits. “By combining our strengths, we are well-positioned to become the commercial cleaning and contract catering provider of choice for businesses and organisations across the North of England, serving a broad customer base, supporting schools, councils, emergency services, charities and commercial clients across the North of England.” The It’s Clean office, branding and customer contact will remain the same, and David and his team will continue to lead the business, ensuring continuity as they build forward within the Orian Group.
